Cooperation between two art fairs: NADA and  ART COLOGNE revive traditional connection between Cologne and New York
In 2012 the U.S. organization NADA, the New Art Dealers Alliance, will exhibit for the first time ever at ART COLOGNE (18th to 22nd April 2012) in the Koelnmesse GmbH halls. The Cologne art fair will thus be enriched with additional artistic highlights. “We consider ART COLOGNE the ideal art market for expanding into Europe,” says NADA director Heather Hubbs. That’s why the organization has decided to cooperate with the Cologne art fair. Hubbs also points out the long tradition of ART COLOGNE as an art fair with a progressive format that has repeatedly reinvented itself. “It’s going to be an exciting event!” says Daniel Hug, the director of ART COLOGNE. “NADA is going to bring young, cutting-edge galleries to Cologne and offer our collectors and visitors completely new insights into the current art scene. At the same time, we are reviving the long tradition of close connections between New York and Cologne.”

THE NEW Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) is a non-profit organization devoted to giving support and encouragement to those who work with new contemporary and emerging art. It facilitates strong relationships that benefit its members and enhances the public’s interaction with contemporary art. NADA believes in a spirit of friendly competition. It also gives top priority to cooperation, because it believes that collective efforts to gain access to resources and to provide services to artists and the public are more powerful than individual efforts. The NADA Art Fair was founded in 2003. NADA members include galleries, gallery directors, non-profit art spaces, art advisors, curators and writers, as well as museum specialists and other art professionals from around the world.
