The BFH Fine Art Gallery inaugural  exhibition attracts over 2000 visitors

MANAMA. BAHRAIN FINANCIAL Harbour’s (BFH) Fine Art Gallery attracted over 2,000 visitors to their first exhibition, ‘Opera Gallery Dubai, Awakens Your Imagination in Bahrain’, that took place from the 27th of January until the 5th of February.

The event was a great success as it attracted tourists, arts enthusiasts, connoisseurs and artists as well as students of various age groups from schools across the Kingdom.

Hosted for the first time in the kingdom as part of the arts related events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Opera Gallery exhibited artworks worth over US$ 17 million by artists such as Salvador Dali, Picasso, Renoir, Diego Masi, Jean Francois and many more.

“We are been privileged to have had the opportunity to be the first in the Middle East to showcase monumental bronze sculptures as well as unique jewelled works by Salvador Dali,” said Managing Director of BFH, Dr. Omar Al Mardi at the event.

Presented in custom-built display cases, incorporating carefully adjusted lighting, Dali’s unique jewelled works were exhibited in a separate glass enclosure giving visitors and art enthusiasts the chance to experience the work without any distractions.

“Having the opportunity to experience such magnificent masterpieces at the Bahrain Financial Harbor is marvellous and this is definitely a good initiative to promote arts.  I truly enjoyed the attentiveness and detailed explanations that Mr. Bertrand Epaud offered on each masterpiece, which I believe is essential to understanding the each artist’s creative approach,” said Bahrain resident of 4 years, Mr. Alex.

“The feedback in Bahrain has been so positive and uplifting. The visitors were very enthusiastic not only about the artwork but also about the space where these artworks were exhibited.” said General Manager of Opera Gallery Middle East, Bertrand Epaud.

The aim of the BFH Fine Art Gallery is to transform Bahrain into a global hub of arts and culture and to contribute to the growth of the art scene in the Kingdom.

Located at the West Atrium of the Harbour Mall, BFH Fine Art Gallery boasts of an exhibition space of 275sqm. The Gallery is elegantly designed and has a unique position as the transparent glass allows for panoramic views of the old city of Manama on one side, and the sea and magnificent views of the Bahrain Financial Harbour on the other; signifying both an artistic vision as well as a desire for progress.
