GOYA EXHIBITION, from Madrid | PRINTS WORLD

During  the 8th World Cup, the prints of Francisco de Goya are honored at Chamalières. At this event, consisting of the competition and numerous prestigious exhibitions, you can also see the works of Leonor Fini, Jacques Callot, PIRANESI, and many other writers. The highlight of the region's cultural life offers exceptional access to contemporary art and hosts and hundreds of artists from around the world. The exhibition catalog is now regarded by professionals in the print as a valuable source of information.

Thus, it is a myriad of small windows on the world that we offer in the eyes of many spectators. The international reach of this event allows "strollers gaze", number 15000 in the last three years, to meet the different sensitivities and ways of expression that highlight the cultural diversity of exhibitors.

We then invite you to travel through the colors of South America, reminiscent of early Native American civilizations, but also the modern techniques of U.S. and Western Europe through photogravures and photopolymers, extreme graphic quality of the countries of the former Eastern bloc, the symbolism "naive" monotypes of Africa, the Maghreb and Arabic calligraphy of the Middle East, the splendid colors of Asia, or the real "songs of signs" of Australian Aborigines. It is also a human adventure worldwide. The Triennial key event in the heart of the Auvergne, has the responsibility of delegates to the four corners of the world without which many artists could not be found.

Like each edition, a jury of international professionals in the engraving award several prizes. The visitors were, once again, involved in awarding the Audience Award at the artist who will be most affected.
Numerous activities are organized around the engraving. You can attend conferences but also to demonstrations by artists engravers.

The 8th World Print and Original etching will be held from October 9 to November 27, 2010.
