Disciplines: Painting, Photography, Creative Writing, Performers, Drawing, Installation Art, New Media, Film / Video. Duration of residencies: From 1 to 6 months. MIRA supports international artists and promotes the cultural exchange between artistic disciplines and international experiences. We have created a pristine environment exclusively for the interaction of the artists and their work needs. Our institution offers 5 large furnished rooms (3 with private bathrooms) all adapted with work desks for the artists to be able to create in the comfort of their room if they feel necessary. The grounds are divided between 2 buildings, one having a main, large, shared work studio, and the other permitting the artists to work freely throughout the house in order to create wherever they feel more at ease, whether it be in or outside. We assist the artists as much as possible in order for them to concentrate solely on their creating. Wireless Internet throughout and bicycles for each artist. Once a month we organize an open house in which we invite local artists and the surrounding community in order to further promote the cultural exchange between the artists and their adopted home. Also, we are fortunate enough to be sponsored by the Comune of Martignano who have kindly donated the gallery installations at the Palazzo Palmieri, every two months, in order for our artists to have an exhibition. Artists, critics, press and the community at large are invited to attend.
Fees: 700 - 900 Euro per month depending on chosen accomodation

Villa Flora call for exhibition

Eligibility: Call for a personal exhibition at Villa Flora Art Gallery, Slovenia. Only 9 artists will be selected. Available dates are from July 2 until September 24, 2010. The pacakge consists of a 1 week residency and a 6 days personal exhibition. Prolonged stays are available. Apply as an individual or as a group. Artists with professional standing in their fields and emerging artists of recognized ability are eligible for the exhibition. Students are not eligible. You can apply by e-mailing us photos of the works you want to exhibit together with your CV and press release.
Fees: Artists are asked to participate at some expenses (500 Euros).
