Buqais

Born 1955, Fareed Buqais is an artist and an
art teacher. He is one of the founding member of
Bahrain Art Society .
He acquired a Diploma in Art Education in
Bahrain and a Bachelor in Art degree in Egypt.
Fareed had several solo shows in Bahrain -
Lina’s Café and The Courtyard both in 2009 and
participated in various group shows - the Bahrain
Art Society Annual juried exhibition at the Bahrain
National Museum and Bahrain Contemporary Art
Society. He also participated in international
exhibitions - Egypt 1979 and 1991; London UK
1984; Singapore 1985; Jordan 1992 and
Kuwait 1995.
He has received several achievement awards
for his exhibitions.
