February 2011
TOKYO. The Japanese capital prepares for the sixth edition of Art fair Tokyo 2011 held annually during the cherry blossom season.

Participating Galleries
ART FAIR TOKYO 2011 will be held in the Tokyo International Forum from April 1 through April 3. Welcoming more galleries from Asia than the last edition, ART FAIR TOKYO 2011 will feature approximately 130 domestic and international galleries showcasing a total of thousands of artworks.

PROJECTS New Section
For the sixth edition, ART FAIR TOKYO is setting up a PROJECTS new section  in addition to the regular showcase of galleries that have been established within the last five years. The contents in this new section will be determined by the responses to a questionnaire that has been conducted. Four members of the PROJECTS Artistic Committee have distributed the questionnaire to a total of 100 persons well-versed in art (collectors, curators, arts-related professionals, and journalists working in the contemporary art field). This will provide the opportunity to approach Japanese and East Asian contemporary art from a unique perspective, and it will encourage the building of a new network primarily in the East Asian region.
